NATIONAL SAVINGS

Last week 88 towns throughout the Dominion backed up their boys at the Front by attaining their weekly quota of National Savings. Notable additions to the list of successful towns are Hamilton and Oamaru, both of which flew their quota flag for the first tune. Of the 18 postal districts Canterbury was the most promirient, With 15 successful towns, arid Waikato next with ten towns.

The distinction of having flown their quota flags five weeks in succession goes to the following towns: —New Plymouth.. Ashburt6n, Hawera, Taihape, Hunterville, Fairlie, Hawarden, Kaikoura, Maylield, Ureiiui, Wfeber, and Te Anga.
