"Shop Day" Tomorrow on the Quay.
The Mockador, being so well situated in the centre of Lambton Quay, opposite Kirkcaldie and Stains, has become a very ■ popular place for the [holding of "shop days." Tomorrow the shop will be stocked with a wonderful variety of produce, cakes, novelties, etc., to benefit the St. Mary's Home, Karori, which is' in need of funds for blankets and shoes for the Recital of Ballet. An outstanding recital will be given on Saturday, November 22, at the Town Hall Concert Chamber by pupils of Diana Power-Palmer. Brilliant dancing and miming will be seen in the main ballet, "The Enchanted Kiss," in which beautiful hand-painted costumes are worn. Real saris are worn in "Song of India," and really loveb' ballet frocks in solo items. Other ballets include "Professor Barakoff"? Academy," "Hanzel and Gretel," and the "Pas de quatre" taken from the lithograph in the British Museum of the four ' great nineteenth-century dancers. Booking is at the D.I.C. where seats in the stalls are still available.
