N.Z. FORCES
MONEY FOR CHRISTMAS
Another reminder was given today by. the Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones) of. the desirability, of relatives ■ and friends who wish to send money to the members of. the New Zealand Fighting Forces overseas for Christmas forwarding their bank receipts to the respective Departments—Army, Navy, and Air—not later than Monday, November 24. If this course is followed, it will, ensure, as far as it is possible to do so, the money being available to the men before Christmas. The amount which may be sent in any one year is restricted to £30, and if that sum already has been sent in the current remittance year it will be useless to apply for permission to send additional funds. There will be no relaxation of this rule: if additional money is sent in, it will be returned to the sender.
