HATAITAI TRIAL

The Hataitai E.P.S # held a full-scale demonstration <Xi Saturday afternoon to test the various units, police, traffic, transport, and medical (which included St. John Ambulance Men's and Women's Divisions and Cadets, and the Red Cross Nursing Division). The fire unit and wardens' patrols received, instructions by sealed orders. Women transport" drivers, traffic officers, and two ambulances took part. A tremendous amount of preliminary work Avas necessary in order to compile a comprehensive time schedule for each stunt. Fifty-six sets of sealed orders were issued.

Several weaknesses in various units were revealed and thus the primary object of the demonstration was achieved. All operating members were pleased with the results. Representatives of E.P.S. headquarters complimented the district on the speed and accuracy obtained and the workmanlike way in which operations were conducted.
