JUMP FROM A WARD WINDOW

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, November 5. A verdict that the deceased met her death through throwing herself from a window on the third floor of the Wallace Block at the Auckland Hospital was returned by the Coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, at an inquest regarding the death of Mrs. Jane Sellar, widow, aged 63, of Otahuhu. . , , .., The charge nurse m the ward said that at 10.55 p.m. on October 23 she heard other patients in the ward shouting, and when she went in she saw Mrs. Sellar climbing through a window. Witness was too late to stop her. The deceased had been admitted ten days previously following a minor accident. She was restless that evening, but had shown no other signs of trouble.
