SWEDES WARNED

SPEECH BY QUISLING

MAY SHARE NORWAY'S FATE

FOREIGN ATTITUDE

LONDON, November 1

A violent attack on Sweden and the country's political leaders, with the threat that Sweden may share the same fate as Norway, was made by the quisling Minister of Propa-

ganda in Norway.

Speaking at a demonstration of quisling storm troopers in Oslo, he declared that the Nazi authorities would not continue to tolerate what he termed the lying propaganda about, the quislings that the Swedish Press had indulged in. Attacking Sweden's political leaders, he said that they believed that they could oppose the development of the new order in Norway, but the only thing they would do was to harm Sweden and the Swedish people.

Criticising Sweden's neutrality, he said that Sweden could not remain friendly with Soviet Russia and Britain. Sweden's present attitude could not long continue. Sweden, he declared, was destined to follow the

same role as Norway.

These threats followed a recent statement by Sweden's Foreign Minister, who declared that in any new European order the Northern Countries must remain independent.
