WADESTOWN-NGAIO ROAD

The following motion was carried at a meeting of the Wellington branch of the Town-planning Institute of New Zealand (Inc.):—"That this branch, having considered the proposal to construct a new road connecting Wadestown and Ngaio, and being of the opinion that its value gs an alternative outlet from the city of Wellington is not sufficiently material to warrant its construction at" the present time at the public expense, nevertheless is prepared to support the proposal if assured that the properties benefiting from improved access bear a propor proportion of the cost, having in view the desirability of the road for the purpose of residential development."
