BIBLE TRUTH "THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD ABE BECOME THE KINGDOM OF OUR LORD, AND OF HIS CHRIST, AND HE SHALL REIGN FOR EVER AND EVER." , (Rev. 11:15,) THE SCRIPTURES clearly' teach that whenJesus Christ returns to earth "The Kingdoms of this World" will become His—one uni-versal-Kingdom with one supreme ruler. This coming KINGDOM OF GOD on earth is the main theme of the Bible—The Gospel of the Bible—and God's own remedy for the chaotical condition that new prevails upon the earth. The Bible reveals that this coming Kingdom of God upon, earth will have as (1) ITS KING—The Lord Jesus Christ re- | turned to earth in person. (Acts 1:11, Acts 17:31, Zech. 14:9, Isa. 9:6.) I (2) ITS THRONE—The Throne of David re--1 ■ stored in Jerusalem. (Ezek. 21:27, Luke I 1:32, Acts 2:30, Isa. 9:7.) (3) ITS TERRITORY—AII the earth. (Zech. 14:9, Zech. 9:10," Psa. 72:8, Psa. 2:6-8.) (4) ITS CAPITAL—The Holy City, Jerusalem, the geographical centre of the earth. (Matt. 5:35, Jer. 3:17, Isa. 24:23, Isa. 52:9.) ... ■ . : (5) ITS. RULERS—Those of all generations who have believed God's promises and obeyed His commands. (Matt. 25:34, 1 Cor. 6:2, Rev. 2:26-27, Rev. 5:9-10.) h (6) ITS MOST FAVOURED NATION—The 1" Nation of Israel (the Jewish Nation) I purged and restored to its own land, the I Land of Palestine. (Ezek. 37:21-28, 1 Ezek. 36:24-38, Ezek. 20:33-44, Zech. 8:23.) (") ITS SUBJECTS—The mortal inhabitants of the whole earth. (Phil. 2 :9-11, Dan. .7:13-14, Psa 67 :4, Fsa. 72:11.) (S) ITS LAWS—God-given laws with the consequent abolition of all existing human legislation. (Isa. 2:3, Micah 4:2,-Isa. 33:22, Rev. 19:15.) (9) ITS RELIGION AND WORSHIP—One universal true religion centred in a new Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. '(Zech. 6:12-13, Zech. 8:20-22, Zech. 14:16-19, Isa. 2:3. Isa. 56:7.) (10) ITS OBJECTIVE—"GIory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will to-ward-men." (Luke 2:14. Numbs. 14:21, Gen. 22:18, Psa: 72, Isa. 11, Jer. 23:5, Acts 17 :31, etc.) The salvation God has promised-is eternal life and an inheritance in this coming Kingdom of God on earth. Pointing to an open Bible, she replied: "That is the- secret of Britain's. greatness—an open Bible." Truly any nation is great that gives the Word of God its rightful place. This is the; crowning Glory. We fear, however, that now one word could be written largely upon the national and spiritual life of our nation —"Ichabod." "The glory is departed" (1 Sam. 4:21). Will Britain ever regain that ,Glory? What has led to the' loss of It? We believe the lovs of pleasure and above all the spread of modernism, and false teaching. We are glad to say that there is a'bright Glory that shines ahead of the redeemed soul. The Lord Jesus in His High -Priestly prayer said: "'Father I will that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may . behold My Glory, which Thou hast given Me" : (John 17:24).
