HUTT PARK TROTS

SOFT TRACK LIKELY

! There was comparatively little activity at Hutt Park this morning, but the arrival of most of the visitors from the south created some interest. The track, as the result of the break in the weather, is at the moment on the dead side, and should the rain continue the going is likely to be soft. Suspense, who was down to contest the unhoppled events, has not made the trip owing to getting caught up in a fence during the past week, suffering injuries which necessitated a spell. Among the visitors out doing light tasks were Ronald Logan, Walter Moore, and Gold Bai% all of whom bear a bright appearance, evidently as the result of plenty of fast work. Gold Flight was worked over a mile and a half, but he was never required to do his best, and was going well within himself to run his last half-mile in lmin 16sec. He was accompanied by a two-year-old half-sister by Sandydale, and the youngster impressed as a very promising sort. Others noticed on the track were Happy Locanda, Rollicking Ray, Yon Van, Bing Crosby, Sabu, Acuity, Lady Carol, Palomar, Mahoe, Mongolian, Franco, Handicapper, Free Bond, and Mac's Jimmy.
