TOBRUK LISTENING POST

LONDON, October 28.

Today's Cairo communique says our listening post in the Tobruk area, which was reported to have been overrun, and the garrison of which were said to have been made prisoners, was found intact yesterday. The garrison had beaten off "an attack made by superior forces. In the frontier area of Libya patrol activity yesterday was not interfered with by the enemy.

In Abyssinia, patriot forces northwest of Gondar.-tlrove back an enemy patrol with no, losses to themselves. South of Gondar aircraft bombed and machine-gunned an enemy camp and motor transport near a market from which Italian forces get supplies.
