DUNEDIN, October 7

The Dunedin cricket season will open on October 25 and one-day matches will be played, according to a decision made at the first meeting for the season of the Otago Cricket Association tonight. A committee was appointed to arrange details and a recommendation was submitted to it that hours of play be from 1.30 to 6.30 p.m., and that the time be equally divided. -It was decided to recommend to the Umpires' Association that no appeals against light be allowed.
