ROYAL VISIT

BOMBER COMMAND STATIONS

(Rec. 1.15 p.m.) RUGBY, October 6. Their Majesties- today visited two* R.A.F,. Bomber Command stations and conversed with the airmen who carryout daring daylight raids on Germany; and the occupied territory. # Their Majesties heard from the pilots stories of some' of their raids. _ They saw photographs on the walls in the crew room showing Blenheims' bombing Cherbourg and Ijmuiden witli bombs bursting on the target. The pilots and crews included New; Zealanders, Australians, Canadians, and South Africans, and their Majesties had a long talk with one New Zealand pilot who recalled their Majesties' visit to New' Zealand before their coronation. —8.0.
