IMPORTANT CONFERENCE

Important decisions concerning meat producers are likely to be made this week. These will have to do with the !new season's meat production and will be the result of deliberations between the Government and the Meat Board and other interested parties. The matter was mentioned briefly at yesterday's meeting of the Wellington Provincial Executive of the Farmers' Union at Marton by Mr. L. Hammond, who is a member of the Meat Board electoral college. In reply to a question as to whether the producer was to be expected to j carry all the losses on meat unexported, Mr. Hammond said that the whole matter was to1 be discussed this week when several aspects of the problem of dealing with meat production would be dealt with.
