THEOSOPHICAL LECTURE.

Mr Geoffrey Hodson, the international lecturer, healer, and author, gave an-address-in the Town Hall last night. Seership was seen to reside in a latent or developed state m. all men and through its scientific application could be used to plunge into the depths of life and bring up pearls of truth After the withdrawal of the vital solar forces from the physical body, leaving it as dead, the individual, though perhaps in a state of coma, knew great lucidity of consciousness, in3vhic.h-.he summed up in a distilled essence of wisdom and insiglittlie'sum total of his life. That phase was followed, by blank unconsciousness for $6 or ~48 hours, after which the person awoke to a worm the same as he knew on earth, but intensified according to his temperament, character, interests, and kind of life lived. The stage of emotional surgings or cravings might take hours, months, or years, leading to a second "death." Again there was an awakening to a blissful state of thought in which the student, musician, philanthropist, and idealist enjoyed vastly increased satisfaction and unselfish love was fulfilled. That phase transcended, the soul now awakened to his true spiritual awareness.. Not a strange land was the life after death, but one to which they passed during sleep, but with the difference that the .silver cord of vitality was not severed as in death.
