Miss Jan. Collinson, Epsom, Auckland, is spending a few days in Wellington before leaving for-abroad. She is staying at the Hotel Waterloo. The birth of a daughter to Mrs. Burden, wife of Surgeon.rCommander A; J. Burden, H.M.S. Ajax, is announced in a United Press Association cablegram from London." Mrs. Burden was formerly Miss Margaret Malfroy, of Wellington. Mrs. Lance Newton, Fendalton, has returned to Christchurch from a visit to Upper Hutt, where she was the guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. David Morrow. Mrs. H. Turner Jennings, who came to .Wellington to meet her husband, Major Jennings, on his return from the Middle East, has returned to Christchurch, accompanied by her husband. - Mrs. L. V. Reeve, Hataitai, Wellington, is visiting Paraparaumu, and is staying with Mrs'. Reeve, snr.
