HORSES REPLACE MOTORS
Because of petrol rationing,, horsedrawn vehicles were being employed to a greater ext'enf by Yellow Express Carriers; Ltd., in some- of its services; the chairman, Mr. A.-R-. Tewkesbury, said at the annual meeting in Melbourne. . Some relief from higher costs was obtained by increases authorised by the Prices Commissioner in the rates charged for services.
