DEATH IN THE BANAT
HUNGARIAN ADMISSION
(Rec. 9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 2. Moscow radio says-4,hat the names of 30 "ipersons who have been executed in. the Banat region are printed in tha Budapest newspaper "Magyarsag," organ of the Government; in which it is stated that persons arrested and charged with sabotage were reported; to be mostly Jews and Serbs. After further sabotage 12 more were executed and suspended in the main square of one town for, 24 hours after the execution, A secret radio in Bohemia which! has been picked up in Russia reports that partisan fighting has greatly, increased in the Carpathian Mountains. When a military train at Sojma was derailed many soldiers were killed arid a large amount of war material was destroyed. Patriots blew: up an ammunition store and burnt down a coal depot and a petrol dump at Poljane. \ Others barricaded a road near Selo, forcing Hungarian motorised forces to halt and destroy the obstacles.
