CLAY BIRD SHOOTING

The Hutt Valley Gun Club held a successful ehoot at Taita last Saturday. A special 10----bird match for novices was included, with a trophy donated by Mr. Skippage. It was won by Mr. Darrall (8 birds). Messrs. Hewer, Gregory, Plunkett, Eccles, Grimstone, and Gorrle. tied for second -with" 6 birds each.

A 20-bird match resulted:^-8.-Newman (20 birds), 1; F. ;Flux (18), 2; Messrs.' SWppage, Moore, Searle, and Minehan (17 birds each), tied for third. The first prize included a trophy presented by Mr. H. Morris.
