MYER EMPORIUM PROFITS
The Myer Emporium, Ltd., the great Melbourne retail drapery concern, announces that net profits for the year ended July 31 amounted to £329,473, against £322,260 last year. Directors recommend final dividend at 3 per cent., together with bonus of 3 per cent. With interim of 3 per cent, total dividend is 9 per cent, for the year (unchanged). Profit before tax was £489,473, compared with £419,760 last year and £380,080 before the war. Profit both before and after tax provision is a record.
