"ON THE ROAD" AGAIN

KIWI CONCERT PARTY

ENTERTAINMENT OF N.Z.E.F.

A recent issue of the "N.Z.E.F. Times," the newspaper published in the Middle East for the New Zealand Forces, features photographs of principals and other members of the Kiwi Concert Party which has been organised from the talent offering among the New Zealanders serving in this part of the world for the entertainment of their fellow-countrymen. This band of entertainers includes a female impersonator, stage band, and a strong

chorus.

The Kiwi Concert Party lost all its equipment and five of its personnel in Crete, but as the result of financial assistance given by the New Zealand National Patriotic Fund Board it has now been fully re-equipped, and after a strenuous period of rehearsal preparing an entirely new programme, it is now reported to be "on the road" again fulfilling its important task of providing entertainment for the New Zealand troops. The Kiwis are described as a bright, versatile, and up-to-date band of entertainers, -whose ranks include many accomplished soloists. The producer and officer in charge of the unit is Second-Lieutenant F. E. McCallum. Now that necessary equipment has been obtained, the Kiwis will be able to visit the troops of the outlying units. ■
