YOUNG WOMEN FOR WAR EFFORT

RUGBY, Sept. 25

All women aged 20 to 25 employed in the retail trade, other than food, are to be withdrawn from their employment, according to a Ministry of Labour and National Service announce, ment.

The Minister states that he would like to reiterate his appeal to women to join the A.T.S. or to take training which will fit them for engineering work in which some skill is necessary and which will then enable their capabilities to be used in the war effort.—B.O.W.
