Approximately £2640 of a loan of £10,500 raised in 1940 by the Masterton Borough Council for the purpose of cleaning and lining with concrete the mains from the reservoir to the town is diverted by a clause in the Local Legislation Bill, which was introduced in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon. The money is to be used for the cement lining of various of the borough reticulation mains which were not included in the original loan proposal.
