PERSONAL NOTES
Mrs. H. S. S. Kyle, Christchurch, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday. Mr. ''and Mrs. John Bond, Manila, Philippine Islands, with their small daughter, have arrived in New, Zealand on furlough. Mrs. Bond was formerly Miss Alison Rowley. Mrs. C, W. Haines, Auckland, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. H. B. Oakes, at Kelburn, has returned home. Mrs. P. Kelly, Boulcott Street, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman A. Nash, Hokowhitu, Palmerston North, has returned home. Mrs. R. Rice, Aro Street, is a guest of Mrs. F. E. Fisher, Hamilton. The annual bazaar and sale of work of the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Ladies' Guild will be held on Wednesday, October 1, in the Sunday School hall. Stalls will be well stocked with useful and fancy goods. A good programme has been arranged for the evening.
