The accompanying photograph shows Wing Commander Henry Neville Gunyon Ramsbottom-Isherwood with his wife and daughter.
Wing Commander Ramsbottom-Isher-wood, who commands the R.A.F. wing in Russia, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Ramsbottom-Isherwood, of Blenheim, and was born at Petone 36 years ago. He commenced his education at the Petone-Lower Hutt Roman Catholic School, where he was taught by the Sisters of the Mission, and later attended the Gonville School, Wanganui. After his family went to Blenheim he, attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic School there, and completed his education by five years at St. Clement's Roman Catholic College.
Australia.' On returning to Blenheim he joined the clerical branch of W. E. Clouston and Co., merchants, and 11 years ago resigned from this firm to join the R.A.F.
Mrs. Ramsbottom-Isherwood is a daughter of the late Mr. Charles Taylor, formerly manager of Lloyd's Bank, Felixstowe, England, and of Mrs. Taylor.
