PRICE REDUCTION LIKELY

It is hoped to be able to reduce the price of woolpacks made from flax at the Foxton factory by - several pence a pack this year. An announcement to this effect was made by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr. Sullivan) in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon, when speaking on:the Public Works Statement.

Mr. Sullivan added that ultimately when all the machinery was installed and all the, methods were in operation, the New Zealand pack would be able to compete with packs produced anywhere in the world with regard to price. . ,
