ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Difficulties and differences which arose between electric power boards and municipal supply authorities and threatened to result in a breakaway of the municipal' authorities have been satisfactorily resolved. The conference yesterday afternoon approved a plan of amalgamation and the .following were elected officers for the coming year:—President, Mr. J. A. Nash; executive, Messrs. T. C. A. Hislop (Weilington City Council), S. J. Harbutt (Auckland City Council), £. Hitchcock (Christchurch City Council), D. C. Cameron (Dunedin City Council), G. Tremayne (Palmerston North" City Council), S. J. Satterthwaite (Timaru Borough Council), J. T. Johnston (Te Awamutu Power Bpard), G. A. Monk (Horowhenua Power Board), J. B. Kent (Grey Power Board), and W. G. Hudd (Marlborough Power Board), and representatives of the engineers' and secretaries' associations.
