RAGING IN YUGOSLAVIA

FIERCE FIGHTING

MANY EXECUTIONS

(By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright.t

LONDON, September 24,

In the guerrilla war which is raging over almost the whole of Yugoslavia, fierce fighting is progressing in the vicinity of the main railways, and even the surroundings of the Croatian capital, Zagreb, are unsafe, according to news trickling from the Balkans, says the Istanbul correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph." These widespread disturbances began three weeks ago.

Sixty-six executions have been carried out hi Croatia alone since September 19. The victims were shot or hanged immediately after being sentenced. Two men were executed merely for not reporting to the authorities.

Two thousand women and children have arrived in Zagreb, and their menfolk are officially reported to have been "wiped out by Bosnian Communists."

The Zagreb correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says that Serbian outlaws killed six Croat officers and 98 soldiers who demanded their surrender.
