ENGINEERS & SECRETARIES.
Mr. J. A. Shiith (Horowhenua) was yesterday afternoon elected president of the Electric Supply Authority Engineers' Association, Messrs. A. Buckingham (North Canterbury) and N. Webb (Wanganui-Rangitikei) were elected vice-presidents, and the following to the executive: Messrs. J. C. Forsyth (Christchurch), A. O. Glasse (Auckland), G. T. Edgar (Dunedin). G. Mac Lean (Marlborough), J. Lythgoe (South'Taranaki), .and'l. Dicker (Bay of Plenty).
Mr. G. A. Ammundsen, secretary of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board, was elected president of the secretaries' branch, and Mr. W. S. McClymont, secretary of the Grey Electric Power Board, secretary.
Dr. H. J., Gough, of the English Ministry of Supply, has explained how welding instead of riveting has saved £1045 on a single Government contract.
