NEW ZEALAND SUPPLIES

The attention of the Minister of-In-dustries and Commerce was drawn in the House of Representatives today by" Mr. E. L. Cullen (Government, Hawke's Bay) to a published report yesterday in which it was stated that Britain had ordered 15.000,000 cases of oanned tomatoes Eron California as an emergency food and- drink supply in the event of invasion. Mr. Cullen wanted to know whether the Minister would communicate with the British Government with a view to securing an order at canned tomatoes from New Zealand, He said the fruit canning industry of the Dominion was capable of supplying an order.
