HONOURS WON
CUPS PRESENTED
The presentations of the senior first division Rugby .championship cup and the National Mutual Cup were made to the winners at a function' after the match between Athletic and Marlst Brothers Old Boys at Athletic Park on Saturday. Messrs. J. N. Millard (chairman)1 and F. Jacobs (vice-president) congratulated the' successful teams and also paid tribute to others, with special reference to the Array side, for the entertaining type of football they had played. From the union's point of view, the season, except for the weather, had worked but better than had been anticipated. Tribute was paid also to those who had'kept the clubs and the teams going, and Mr. Jacobs took the opportunity of expressing appreciation of the manner In which the game had been managed by Mr. Millard and the members of his committee. ■
The championship, cup was received by Mr. C. L. Bishop on behalf of the Athletic team and the National Mutual Cup by Mr. J. Barnao on behalf of the Marlst Brothers Old Boys' team. ,
