MR. R. STEWART ENTHUSES

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, September 13. Beau Vite revealed all his old brilliance to win the Chelmsford Stakes at the Tattersall's Meeting at Randwick today by three lengths from the favourite, High Caste, with Lucrative third. Beau Vite was cleverly handled by Munro, who made all the difference to him. High Caste had Lucrative beaten on entering the straight, but could not withstand Beau Vite's great run. After Beau Vite's win his owner, Mr. Ralph Stewart, said he would not take £20,000 for him. He considered Beau Vite was equal to Peter Pan. and in ranking him among the greatest horses of Australia, he would not give way even to Phar Lap. The New Zealander Omapo narrowly won the Walter Handicap, and the! former New Zealander Punarua was third in the hurdle race. Duvach, having his first race in Australia, was unplaced in the Tramway Handicap. Principal results were:— CHELMSFORD STAKES, £1000; weight-for-age; 9 furlongs. Mr. R.
