G. J. COLES SALES INCREASE

Mr. G. J. Coles, chairman of G. J. Coles and Co., Ltd., said at the annual meeting in Melbourne that, although sales had shown a considerable increase, many departments were finding it difficult to offer anything like the variety of goods offered two years ago. Practically the whole of the toy department was being supplied by Australian manufacturers. Stocks had come forward from Great Britain at frequent though irregular intervals, but shipments from foreign sources had ceased entirely.
