THE HAWKE'S BAY SEAT

(P.A.) HASTINGS, This Day. The selection of Mr. Robert Douglas Brown, public accountant, of Hastings, as the National Party candidate for the Hawke's Bay electorate was made at a meeting of National Party members on Saturday night. For a number of years Mr. Brown has been associated with local bodies in Hawke's Bay, but this will be tiis first venture into national politics. There were two aspirants for the position, the other being Mr. H. M. Sinclair, farmer, of Tangoio.
