INCREASED TRADE

LONDON, August 19. The Ankara correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that Britain and the Empire are benefiting from a breakdown in transport between Germany and Turkey which is upsetting Turkish-German trade. British purchases on the Turkish I markets in the last 12 months totalled about £4,400,000. Turkish orders from Britain include 23,000 tons of steel and 10,000 tons of sugar.
