HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
A very satisfactory report and balance-sheet was presented at the annual meeting of the Kilbirnie Home and School Association at which Mrs. L. Graham presided. Liberal spending by the association in the interests of the school children was disclosed. A cash balance remains. Mr. Bremner, the headmaster, expressed, on behalf of the school staff and himself, thanks to the association arid his desire for continued and greater co-ordination between teachers and parents. , ; Officers were elected as follows:— President, Mrs. L. Graham; vice-presi-dents. Mrs. J. E. Stokes and Mr. R. N. Chatterton; secretary, Mr. G. K. Richardson; treasurer, Mr. Emerson; hon. auditor, Mr. J. E. Stokes; ladies' committee, Mesdames C. Graham, Dennis, Danderson,' Harris, and Cowan; men's committee, Messrs. Mac Donald, Collins, and Gordon. The following players will represent Wellington in the interprovincial table tennis championships to be held at Lower Hutt oh August 30:—Women: Mrs. H| D. Kennedy (captain), Misses J. Strange, M. Whareham, M. Miers (Technical), and A. Knight (Railways); men, H. D. Kennedy (captain)., W. McFarlane, L. Wilson (Kilbirnie), M. Gosling, E. Boniface, and F. Mooney (Technical).
