BEAUFORT BOMBER
LONG FLIGHT IN AUSTRALIA
(Rec: 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Aug. 18.
A Bristol Beaufort bomber assembled in Australia today flew from Cairns, in North Queensland, to Melbourne, a distance of 1500 miles, in 7| hours. This was the longest and fastest flight ever made in Australia.
