NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 4th August, 1941, • the following resolution was passed, viz:— That the Wellington City Council pursuant to the provisions of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Local Bodies Loans Act 192S and the Municipal Corporations Act. 1933 and their respective amendments and 'in pursuance of an Order-in-Council dated the-23rd day of July, 1941, contained in the New-Zealand Gazette of the 24th , day of July, 1941, No. 61 at page 2186 and in pursuance and in exercise of all other Acts , powers and authorities it in that behalf enabling dotb hereby resolve by way of Special Order:— 1. That a special loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) to be known as the Wellington City Street Widening Loan 1941 be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of widening and improving the following streets :—- Aro Street Manners Street : Arthur Street Nelson Street • Brougham Street Ngaio Gorge Koad Buckle Street Taranakl Street 1 Constable Street Thorndon Quay Ghuznee Street Tory Street . Hunter Street Willis Street Lloyd Street Molesworth Street 2. That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said special loan shall be three pounds (£3) per centum per annum payable half yearly during the currency of the said' special loan being a period of Ten (10) years 1 from the first day of November, 1941. 3. That a sinking fund of One pound ten shillings (£1 10s Od) per centum per annum be established in connection with the said special loan. 4. That the security for the interest sinking fund and other charges and repayment of the said special loan be a special rate of Fourteen eight hundredths of a penny (14-800d) • in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington. , 5. That no amount payable as either interest ' or sinking fund in respect of the said special ; loan shall be paid out of loan moneys. 6. That the rate payable for brokerage underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said special loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one half per centum of any amount raised. 7.
