LEGLESS PILOT MISSING
(Rec. 1 p.m.) RUGBY, August 12. Wing Commander D. R. Bader, the legless R.A.F. pilot, is reported missing. Bader, who has won the D.S.O. with bar and the D.F.C with bar, lost both legs in a flying accident while serving with the R.A.F. in 1931, but contrived to re-enter the service on the outbreak of war. He has made many daring raids.—B.O.W.
