CHANGE IN BERMUDA
RUGBY, August 11. His Majesty's Government has decided to advise the King that in the present circumstances it is preferable that the Governor of Bermuda should Ibe a civilian. I In order to facilitate the change the present Governor, Lieutenant-General Sir Denis Bernard, has placed his resignation in the hdnds of the King, who has accepted it.—B.O.W. / Bermuda now has. an American garrison at the base which was leased to the United States under the agreement of last year.
