"ROSE MARIE."
The Wellington Musical Comedy Company's production of the spectacular entertainment "Rose Marie" will be on the same elaborate scale of completeness as the J. C. Williamson production presented to Wellington theatregoers thirteen years ago, when such outstanding artists as Harriet Bennett, Stephanie Deste, Reginald Dandy, and Frederick Bentley (Hardboiled Herman) were included in the cast. No expense has been spared to ensure that the play is adequately set and in this connection scenic, mechanical, and electrical material has been specially imported. The "Rose Marie" season, which will run for seven nights and two matinees, opens with a matinee on Saturday at the Opera House. Reserves are now. available at the D.I.C. and day sale tickets will be available for the day. of issue at the Opera House confectionery shop. KENNETH TO WRESTLE HERE. —♦ : Ken Kenneth, the Auckland wrestler who made an excellent showing in his first main event bout at Auckland recently, will have his first Wellington contest at the Town Hall on Monday night when he will meet Joe Corbett, the handsome and skilful Bostonian. Kenneth weighs 16st 41b and is a most virile performer with a wide range of holds. Since last, season he has had experience in Australia, and this, combined with the fact that he has trained for years with leading heavyweights in Auckland, makes him fully capable of coping with any opposition he may be called upon to face. There will be amateur and professional preliminaries.
