(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day,

Sentence of twelve months' reformative detention was passed on John Joseph Graham Young, insurance agent, of Timaru, by Mr. Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court today, the prisoner having pleaded guilty to seven charges of theft from his employers, the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, involving £486 12s 2d. The Court was informed today that the prisoner had also made confession, to matters involving approximately £400 additional to the money mentioned in the charges.
