FRENCH-LEASED TERRITORY

(Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, August 4.

A message from the Associated Press of Great Britain says that the Chinese Press reported the Japanese seizure of the Customs at Kwangchow-wan, in French-leased territory of the southern Kwangtung Province.

The Domei news agency says that the Japanese Government has agreed .to exempt 80 British and 4 Australian Embassy and Consular officials from the freezing restrictions because of similar treatment given to Japaneie diplomats by the British Empire
