"EATING THE PROPS" PARTY

The Strathmore. playr'eaders, winners of the Drama League Festival (Wellington area), gathered after their recent performance at a ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ewirig, Strathmore Park, to "eat the props." This apparently peculiar proceeding was made possible, by the fact that cakes, scones, and 'sandwiches played quite a large part in the play.

Mr. D. G. Edwards who produced "The Willing Horse" was. presented with an attractive wood-cut as a token of appreciation from the cast. Mrs. E. S. Andrews, author of the play which won both the Sir Michael Myers cup for the best play produced at the festival and the Dairy Exporter cup for the best play by a New Zealand author, was also congratulated.
