FREE FRENCH GOAL

Anniwsary Message

LONDON, June 18,

Today is? the first anniversary of the formation of the Free French movement, and a message read in London from General de Gaulle, the leader, said:—

"One year has passed in fighting, in grief, and in hope. Not for a single day have we faltered in our march forward towards the goal set before us by duty—to bring France and the Empire back into the war,' to set our country free, and to save the liberty of the world. Through our efforts, French forces, French territory, and French ideals have once more started to play a part worthy of their country."

He said that the enemy knew what a decisive part France would play against them.
