KENT TOWNS ROCKED
GREAT EXPLOSIONS
PREVIOUS DAY'S ATTACKS
LONDON, June 18,
Press reports from the south coast state that yesterday's R.A.F. raid on the French coast was one of the biggest seen from the British side of the Channel, and that a very considerable number ■of powerful bombs was dropped, buildings in Kent towns being rocked by the explosions. For over an hour the sky above the sea was full of British planes. Some of the R.A.F. fighters were flying so high that they could not be seen, while others flew ceaselessly up and down the straits, at times almost skimming the water.
Fire over the • French coast was visible from the British side as the attack took place. Explosions were heard from, the direction of Boulogne. —U.P.A.
