The following telegram has been received by the Governor-General in reply to the message sent by his Excellency to her Majesty, Queen Mary, on her birthday:—"Greatly appreciate your message and am most grateful to you and your wife and to the Government and peoples of New Zealand for kind thoughts of me on my birthday."
