MUSIC EXAMINER ARRIVES

AUCKLAND, May 30,

Because of the difficulty of sending an examiner from London, Dr. W A. Orchard, who for the past 11 years has been director of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, arrived at Auckland by the Monterey to begin an examining tour for Trinity College of Music. Dr. Orchard, who was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1924 for his services to music, holds a doctorate of .music from Durham Uniyersity.
