Sunny Maid, won twice at three years and four times in the following term, but after having had to be content with three minor placings as a five-year-old she was retired to the stud. Sunny Maid was restricted to sprinting, but she is a granddaughter of Merry Roe, who produced such good ones as Merry Damon Merry Mint. M ( erry Melody, etc., and there is no reason why Sunny Knight should not develop into a middle-dis-tance performer
It was first feared that He had hurt himself, but he went north with Riotous and Dv Maurier to fulfil engagements at Te Rapa. and there he carried his jumping account still further.
