MURDERED BY NAZIS

AUSTRALIAN WOUNDED

(Rec. 2.40 p.m.) CAIRO, May 30. Members of the Adolf Hitler Guard cold-bloodedly murdered Australian wounded on the battlefields of Greece, returning Australians declare. Officers of the A.I.F. recounted a number of instances of deliberate butchery of wounded Australians left lying on the field of battle. A young Australian captain told how his battery, after very hard fighting, was surrounded and nearly wiped out. He decided to feign death and to try to get out at night-time and lay down among the dead.

Fanatical Nazi youths of the Hitler Guard moved across the battlefields kicking the bodies of Australian soldiers. If a man made a movement he was immediately shot through the head.—U.P.A.
