LATE SIR JAMES PARR

The funeral service for Sir James Parr was held at Holy Trinity, Pottcn End, Berkhamsted, states "The Post's" London correspondent. The Rev. H. Selwyn Fry officiated, assisted by the Rev. Donald Arden. Members of the family and others present included Lady Parr (widow), Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Weekes (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr. W. J. Jordan (High Commissioner), Mr. D. F. Reid (London manager Bank of New Zealand), Mr. C. A. Knowles (private secretary to the High Commissioner), Nurse E. M. Stedman, Mrs. F. M. Adamson, Mrs. R. Westhorp, Mrs. Lea, Miss Oakins, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Frost, Mrs. W. Mart, Miss Sergeant, and Mr. D. W. Bedford. Flowers were sent by the Government and people of New Zealand and by the High Commissioner for New Zealand and Mrs. Jordan.
